TS!UNDERSWAP is an unofficial fan-game of Toby Fox's UNDERTALE, made by Team Switched (TS). It is a re-imagining based on the premise of swapping character roles, and adding original content, to create new scenarios.
By doing so, we aim to provide a brand new experience for fans of UNDERTALE, while staying true to its aesthetic and characters.
The official DEMO features the first area, Ruined Home! It's available for free on Windows, Mac, Linux, and Android.
When is the release date for this game?
We're not quite sure! We'd like to make a full fan-game, but this project is really ambitious. Please understand that we're young adults with our own lives, doing this as a fun hobby--not for making a paid product. We'll just have to see where the future takes us. In the meantime, kind and motivational words are always appreciated!

What major characters are swapped?
Following the premise of the community-created UNDERSWAP alternate universe (AU), but handled much differently:
- Frisk and Chara
- Flowey and Temmie (not the real one!)
- Toriel and Asgore
- Dummy and Mad Dummy
- Napstablook and Mettaton / (Sir Scratchalot and Mettacrit)
- Sans and Papyrus
- Undyne and Alphys
- Monster Kid and Asriel
- The Annoying Dog will not be swapped or changed.
What else is new here?
Quite a bit! We don't want to make a carbon copy of UNDERTALE, after all.

Since the start of development, we've swapped the seasons corresponding to each area to create 'new' ones!

- Hotland (Summer) -- Boreal Bluffs (Winter)

What languages are supported?
While we're developing in English, we currently plan to officially support multiple other languages. In demo version 1.0.7, official translations for Spanish, Portuguese, and Dutch were added. Fortunately, the demo also has support for unofficial localization patches! Please see here.
What headcanons do this project follow?
Not too many! We're keeping a lot of vague and ambiguous things from UNDERTALE just as up-to-interpretation, so players can apply their own headcanons--this includes things like unspecified genders, character backstories, etc.
Certain headcanons, however, are utilized--such as the 'narrator Chara' theory, as well as the name 'Mettacrit' for a handsome ghost (courtesy of Voltra's Storyshift!)

Please read the Inverted Fate comic! It's an UNDERTALE sequel where only the 6 lost SOULS are affected roles-wise--and a story that relies on how characters' newfound roles and decisions heavily affect the world around them. We're good friends with the creator, Dorked, who agrees our projects are entirely different!
Can I join Team Switched?
We currently have more than enough people working on the game right now, but if the time comes, we will open up applications for more members!
How come you're not using [song, art, etc.] anymore?
This project has changed a lot over time to make it more original than a simple UNDERTALE reskin, and for stylistic consistency. Anything is subject to change!
Is [content] canon to the project?
If it comes from an official source and is confirmed to be in-use, it's safe to assume yes.
And no, we don't have an official Papyrus battle theme.
And it won't be a Megalovania remix.
Can I use TS!UNDERSWAP assets for my own project?
Nope! Theft is a pretty big issue in the UNDERTALE fandom, and you shouldn't use others' assets without their permission and proper credit. This includes ANY current assets, as well as scrapped designs and concepts exclusive to TS!UNDERSWAP.
Can I make TS!UNDERSWAP fanworks? (game, animation, art, music)
Of course you can! All we ask is that any games are simply one-off battles, and not full-fledged fan-games of ours.

Can I make a video on TS!UNDERSWAP?
Absolutely! Please just make sure you give proper credit. You can do this by specifying the project is 'TS!UNDERSWAP by Team Switched,' and linking to our official game page. Please do not misrepresent our fan-game as 'UNDERSWAP' or affiliated with Toby Fox. We are an unofficial fan-game based on UNDERTALE, nothing more.
Can I monetize videos of TS!UNDERSWAP?
If your content is transformative (contains meaningful commentary, etc.) and credits us properly (as specified above), then you may! If you're doing a let's play (multi-video or longplay), you need to display the entire credits sequence at the end (we want people to be recognized for their hard work, and we have a tribute to a departed friend.) You may not monetize straight footage of our fan-game.
You're doing stuff against my headcanon / the original UNDERSWAP!
The original creator of UNDERSWAP had given up on the AU, and no longer wishes to have anything to do with it. It's now in the hands of the community, and we're just doing our own twist on it. Please respect their wishes and leave them alone.
